Project Citizenship Wins 2014 Digital Alberta Award for Digital Philanthropy Innovation

We are honoured to announce that on July 19, 2014, Project Citizenship was  awarded the 2014 Digital Alberta Award for Digital Philanthropy Innovation!

Digital Alberta is an industry-led organization devoted to promoting and connecting the thriving digital media community across Alberta. Through professional development workshops, advocacy work, education, event, and business development activity, Digital Alberta is building the digital media industry provincially and promoting it abroad.

The Digital Alberta Awards program is designed to recognize leaders in innovation, creativity and the evolving digital media sector in Alberta. This year, there were over 90 nominees for the 16 award categories, which include Best in E-Learning, Best in Gaming, Mobile Applications, Best Digital Startup, and Best in E-Commerce Solutions.

The Digital Philanthropy Innovation Award recognizes the success of a website or online campaign in achieving a positive social impact, or in improving the ability of a third party project or organization to achieve its objectives of achieving measurable social good. This category is open to all non-commercial websites and online campaigns (charity, state agencies, social enterprise, and not-for-profit organizations). Honourable mentions in the Digital Philanthropy Innovation category for 2014 include Feed a Kid by DDB Canada and 3 Things for Calgary by Freshwater Creative.

We at Project Citizenship look forward to continuing to achieve a positive social impact in our local communities and beyond!
