What are you proud of? Engaged Citizenship event

Hello everyone,

Our names are Bethany and Allison from the University of Alberta.

We have an exciting workshop happening in the very near future that will help us get ready for the Project Citizenship flashmob taking place in the spring (location and date is still to be decided).

Two University of Alberta drama education students are presenting a visual art and movement workshop on the theme of pride, citizenship and community engagement on Wednesday, February 4th, 2015 from 2pm - 430 pm. See poster attached for details.

What people need to bring to the workshop

In order to prepare, we encourage everyone to think about something they are proud of and if possible, bring an object, picture or thought to be used during the session. Citizens with disabilities, students and staff need to bring items of pride.

We are looking for about 40 citizens and Skills support workers to participate along with U of A students. Invite citizens with disabilities you work with and their supports to attend.  This will be a fun, accessible  event  where people with disabilities, students, and Skills Society staff can explore unique ways to express engaged citizenship.

Please RSVP to Bethany  caldow@ualberta.ca  ASAP with names and contact info of who can attend the event.

Please email us if you have any questions caldow@ualberta.ca

We look forward to engaging with you all at the workshop!
